I owe my career to a few great teachers who changed my life in the best of ways. You do, too, yes?

The founders of Denver’s Spangalang Brewery certainly appreciate teachers, and two of the founders have wives who work in the educational field.

To welcome teachers and support staff back to school, Spangalang has started a special “buy one, get one free” offer for all K-12 teachers and school staff.

The “Back to School Beer Special” runs through the end of August 2016. School faculty that present their valid school ID when ordering a beer at Spangalang Brewery’s tasting room will receive a complimentary second beer.

“We know,” says brewery co-founder Darren Boyd, “that while teachers appreciate apples and pencils, what many of them really like is a good craft beer. A delicious no-charge Spangalang beer is a great way to say ‘thanks’ to a hard-working educator.”

“Teachers and school staff do some of life’s most important work,” says Spangalang co-founder Taylor Rees, “yet they are underpaid and don’t get the community support they deserve. With our Back to School Beer Special, we’re honoring their efforts by treating them to a few great beers to start off the year.”

A fine idea!

Spangalang Brewery is located at 2736 Welton Street in Denver, it was founded in April 2015 by former Great Divide Brewery brewers Taylor Rees, Austin Wiley and Darren Boyd.

The brewery landed numerous “best new brewery of 2015” honors and several other honors in its first year. Its beers have also won significant accolades, including gold medals at the 2015 Great American Beer Festival and the 2016 World Beer Cup for the brewery’s Belgian-style table beer, Sugarfoot.

Stop in and say hello to the Spang’ team soon and buy a teacher a couple beers.
